how we handle your data.

last updated · 2026-04-27

This policy covers the seetarot.com marketing website. The product app at app.seetarot.com has its own privacy policy that governs your account, your readings, and any data you share inside the app.

What we collect

Request metadata. Our hosting provider (Vercel) logs standard web traffic metadata: IP address, user-agent, timestamp, and request path. This is used to operate the site and detect abuse.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — page views, referrers, and UTM parameters from your visit. GA4 sets first-party cookies for session and user identification.

Advertising pixel. We use the Meta Pixel to measure ad performance and retarget visitors who arrived from a Meta ad. The pixel sets third-party cookies in your browser.

Email correspondence. If you write to hello@seetarot.com, we receive your name, email, and the contents of your message.

How we use it

Traffic and analytics data are used to understand how the site is performing and where visitors come from. Email correspondence is used to reply to you. We do not run marketing automation against marketing-site visitors.

Where we store it

Site code is hosted on Vercel. Analytics data is processed by Google. Pixel data is processed by Meta. Email is received and stored in our standard business email provider. None of these providers are granted rights to use your data beyond providing their respective services.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use your visit, the pages you read, or any reading content to train AI models.

Historical waitlist records

Before the product launched we ran a waitlist on this site that collected names, emails, an optional “what brings you to the deck?” answer, and a deterministic per-email tarot card. The waitlist is closed and no new records are being collected. Records that were submitted are retained until you ask us to delete them. To request deletion, email hello@seetarot.com and we will remove the record within 7 days.

Your choices

You can opt out of Google Analytics with the official browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by enabling browser tracking-prevention features. You can opt out of Meta Pixel tracking through your Meta account ad-preferences settings or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

Your rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA).California law gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, request access or a copy, request deletion, correct inaccuracies, and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information for cash. The Meta Pixel may qualify as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes; you can opt out by following the steps in “Your choices” above. To exercise any other right, email us at hello@seetarot.com. We will verify the request and respond within the statutory timeframe.

Residents of other U.S. states with comparable privacy laws (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others as enacted) have equivalent rights, which we honor on the same terms.

Children

The marketing site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete the record.

Retention

Vercel access logs are retained for the platform’s default window. Google Analytics retains event data per its configured retention setting. Historical waitlist records are kept until deletion is requested.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. The “last updated” date above will change when we do.
